Further to the efforts to expand the activities of the UNESCO/UNITWIN Network, on the occasion of the 12th National And 4th International Biotechnology Congress of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a special meeting entitled "International Roundtable on Covid-19 and Biotechnology" was organized by the National Institute of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology (NIGEB), Iranian Biotechnology Society, University Consortium on Covid-19 and UNESCO/UNITWIN Network in Biophysics, Biotechnology, and Environmental Health, which was held on Monday 23-08-2021.
The round table was organized to discuss the Network's ambition and courage to further involve regional organizations in solving problems people are facing.
At the end of the session, an MOU was signed by the parties.

⇒ 1st International and 6th Iranian National Conference on Bioelectromagnetics, May 18-19, 2021.
Prof. Sinerik Ayrapetyan presented a talk on “Quantum-mechanical sensitive intracellular Ca homeostasis as a target for non-thermal intensity of electromagnetic field”.
The conference was organized by IBB, University of Tehran, and Baqyatallah University of Medical Sciences and was supported by Shahed University, Iranian Scientific Society of Engineering Bioelectromagnetics, as well as UNESCO/UNITWIN Network, the coordinator of which is Prof. Ayrapetyan. The event focused on Clinical, Biological, Basic, and Environmental aspects as well as on the corresponding application and hazardous effects of electromagnetic waves and fields.
